Three names I'm sick of hearing already...

  • Mood:
  • Music: "One" by Mary J. Blige ft. U2
1. Mel Gibson
2. Michael Richards
3. Issaiah Washington

No offense but I have better things to worry about than these people so I really wish the media, especially the news would keep these people out of their headlines. Are you honestly telling me you can't find anything else to report on?

Here's my opinion on the Grey's Anatomy controversy/michael richards rant/mel gibson rant because this crap is never going to die down:
Why is it that whenever a celebrity says something racist or homophobic all of a sudden the whole world wants to get involved and voice their opinion? But when we hear everyday people say these things we just go about our own business and not feel the need to voice our opinions at that given time? Here's what I think...dont become outraged because some idiot says something ridiculous because if you don't have the balls to confront that person on the bus behind you then when they are guilty of making the same comments, then don't bother getting all hot at that celebrity. They too are people and need and will learn from their mistakes.

And for the record, especially the people that are claiming that Grey's Anatomy is awful now and they refuse to watch it because of this so called "scandal", are you kidding me? This show started to lose its touch after the first season when they started getting heavy into the story lines between the characters instead of the medical aspect of it. Why do you think "ER" lost it's edge? I was so sick of the whole Derek/Meredith thing well into the second season. Shit gets old people and Grey's is starting to get old and quick! Michael Richards should have never been aloud in a stand up comedy club in the first place. They guy is an actor, not a stand up comic! People, especially those of Jewish descent, should have also been offended that he tried to justify his rant by saying its okay because he's Jewish. Um no your not Mr. Richards. According to a Rabbi, Richards never converted to Judaism so therefore he's not really Jewish. And Mel Gibson, the guy is an alcoholic. Why is it that his remarks gained more attention than the fact that he was driving while intoxicated? HELLO! He could have killed someone but I guess that doesn't really matter.

The fact of the matter is, I'll still Grey's Anatomy and pray that it gets better and they don't fire Washington because what good will that really do. Make him take classes and apologize publically to the Gay/Lesbian community. I mean press conference and all. Make him spend community service within the Gay'Lesbian community so he can learn from the dumb shit he says. As for Michael Richards, I pray that no stand up comedy club comes to learn that he is an actor and never hires him again. I'll still watch Seinfield while I'm waiting for something else to come on. Also, please teach him that Afro-American is not the same as African American. An Afro is a hairstyle you idiot. And Mel, you should have locked his ass up for driving drunk. Make him attend countless AA meetings and make him spend time with members of the Jewish community. The only way we're gonna get to these celebrities is making them spend the time in jail for the crimes they commit besides giving them a slap on a wrist and a wopping 10 hours of community service.

BTW, my new years resolution was to give up celebrity gossip but it's kinda hard when it makes the top news headlines. Are you kidding me?

And that's all I gotta say about that...
3 Look at the love!.

I think focusing on some celeb's racist/homphobic remarks is just a way for our countries to ignore the systemic racism that hurts WAY more people then what kramer said.
