Okay, so we all know that I am a huge huge huge John Mayer fan. There's absolutely no hidding that fact. Yes, I talk about the musician constantly but I can't help it. I have so much respect for him! But lately there's been something troubling brought to my attention and as myspace, mystupidmouth and other gossip sites are exploding with this news, I think many Mayer fans feel the same.

So here's the deal...Mr. Mayer has recently been linked with Jessica Simpson. That's not whats troubling me. What's troubling me is his behavior! Okay work with me here. As a Mayer fan, we feel very connected with our "beloved" artist. Here is a guy who was so dead set about staying out of gossip magazines and the sterotypical "Hollywood Lifestyle" and now he's all over the freaking place. This is the guy who claims that his personal life is private but yet how the hell do you justify going out getting completely smashed, in which you used to be so dead set against drinking, being photographed pouring liquor down some guys throat, and expect the same level of respect from your fan base who think so highly of you? Are you freaking kidding me? And now there are the rumors, sparked by yourself, that you're a "pothead"! I'm living.

I felt totally connected to this musician because it was like "hey here's a guy that doesnt go out and party everynight and yet he still has the respect of so many people while still having fun". So its like heartbreaking seeing one of your role-models behave like this. And now that he's being linked with Miss Simpson just crushes you. It's like, how can someone who writes amazing lyrics be involved with a woman who, and if she does, plays herself dumb in order to gain attention? As a young lady, I feel ashamed. No woman should ever have to play dumb for attention and never should. What message is that sending young girls? I'm not gonna lie. When Jessica first came out I loved her! Do you know why? Because she wasn't displaying herself as a sex-goddess that Britney and Christina were becoming. Finally, here was a girl who had morals and beliefs and stuck with them. I started losing interest when after the first season of "Newlyweds". Her dumb routine was just starting to get old and I finally got sick of it.

So I hope that John gets through this stage in life because it's hard to explain to people why you love a certain musician when they aren't showing much love for themself. I've spent a lot of money and time on a musician that I have truly looked up too. Do you think I'm out spending my money on Britney Spears? HELL NO! Please John, get it together! We as fans want that amazing performer back, especially since your about to head back on tour in which I was going to shell out a pretty penny for your show at the Garden but I'm gonna have to step down.

Please re-surface that artist that I grew to love...at least SOME of the old you. Please...
